... to be a great experience. We felt like part of the family. Bailey and Gina opened the kitchen and allowed Steve to bartend. After all, they were busy preparing our gormet dinner. We met some great people (Hello, Kim and Meg). Once daylight came, we realized that the view from Bay Hill Towers must be the best in St Vincent. And... we could see Bequia from our room.
...so close but still a million miles away (we thought about swimming it)
... floor overlooking the pool and ocean. Rodney Bay area was a bit too tourista for us. It was reminiscent of spring break. To be fair, we did not have an opportunity to explore outside the immediate area. We had our first chicken Roti at Lime- average. Spent the morning on Reduit Beach in St. Lucia. Very nice and relaxing.

BTW, we are no longer virgins (that is Bermuda Triangle virgins). Oh, and Delta's WiFi worked for about 10 minutes.
I was finally off on my fam trip to St Lucia! Having met with the 8 other travel agents from all over the UK and Genevieve (the representative from the St Lucia Tourist board) at Gatwick airport, and finding everyone in the group was lovely I was feeling confident I would have a great time. We even had our own check in desk – the VIP treatment had started already!
The flight was as expected from a ...

I was already imagining the stunning beaches I would see, gorgeous hotels I would be visiting, the yummy food I might be eating and planning what to pack even before the trip was confirmed. Now just how many pairs of shoes could I fit into in my suitcase…?

Castries, Saint Lucia ri-anne.cruz... their presence made it even more exciting. They had on me some kind of a magical attraction that I just couldn't take my eyes off them. They are called the Gros and Petit Pitons, which actually are two volcanic spires rising side by side from the sea (2526-ft and 2437-ft high respectively). Still dreaming! :)
As the catamaran made its way towards the Caribbean Princess, behind us, the Piton were getting smaller and ...
... and thirdly they have an English speaking cinema so we were able to go for the first time in months to see "Yes Man". We are so easily pleased! Also on the French side there are some great restaurants really well priced and serving up some delicious food. We had lunch at one in Marigot Bay and Pete and Tom ordered "Skippy and Chips", it was so tender and delicious they raved about it for days.
Marigot Bay, Netherlands Antilles bellavita... been temperamental with stinking hot one minute and pouring rain the next but Christmas Day was sunny and hot all day so by 2 o'clock we were ready to celebrate our 5 course Christmas Dinner. It was nice to have Matt and John with us and made it feel a more festive. Following dinner we rolled off Bella and went to join friends on Seamist for drinks and more food......
