The transportation story was the same. People wanted to charge us exorbitant prices to drive us 10km up the hill. In the end, one of the locals took us in his car with his family and didn't even want money for it (we gave him something).

... to sit in the restaurant and enjoy our food, which was very delicious if I say so myself! The best satay and boiled vegetable salad we've had so far! Ohhhhh yes �� we spent the afternoon just chilling by the pool, catching some sun and relaxing. We went back to Bendi for dinner, as usual and had some more delicious food! Walking around Ubud in the evening is so lovely as relaxing because there is always lots to look at and people all around you no matter how late ...

... about 800 people living there. He told us all about the village life, the history and the rituals and traditions. Cockfighting seems to be very popular in Bali and is one of their main events, one cock has to die and will then be eaten for dinner. The village has a pink cock, which was dyed as a joke... Poor thing :( we also saw the batik and silk/cotton materials that had been made in the village and basket bags and boxes, some really lovely ...
