... a desert wine. This area is renowned for a white wine blend using Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion grapes. This produces a very palatable white wine. Different wineries combine the grapes in different proportions so do not taste all the same (yet). The winerypeople carrying out the tastings were very knowledgable and helpful. I can't remember what they said 'cos after tasting approx. 24 wines my memory was elsewhere. One of the highlights of the tour, at one of the ...

Hamlin Beach was our first tourist spot today and we wanted to walk. No way was that going to happen. We took one look at the beach, the looming skies, and headed for Vincent, pronto! Played scrabble and had lunch. No go for weather improvement so headed out for Prevelley Beach. Also beautiful, grey to threatening skies, blowing a gale. Gave up!
