Jolanda is back to Bali and we are going to go to Menjangan together to see the mandarin fish.

Wow we were so lucky! First of all we had a great time with Marco and Riza and then we got to see plenty of mandarin fish and some of them were even mating. It was amazing. We watched them for about 20 minutes before we continued our dive.

Bali has a predominantly Hindu population though Indonesia is 87% muslim. Archeological evidence shows that Home Sapiens lived here 42,000 years ago.....on their way to Australia.

... it is definitely time to get the hell out of dodge. (Especially considering we did not want to come back here in the first place) Our Indonesian visas are getting ready to expire and we're not interested in spending any more time in the dirty soulless mess that is southern Bali to sort them out right now, so the Gili islands may have to be postponed some more as we look for an alternate destination that can meet our immediate needs.

... came to realise that fish are worth more in the sea than on a plate and began to work together to protect the reef. Using innovative bio rock technology to assist coral growth via electrically charged steel frameworks, the reef is slowly, but surely, being restored. Whilst snorkelling, we saw first hand how many fish the new coral is attracting. We also took a boat trip out to nearby Menjangan Island, to snorkel amongst the beautiful ...
