      ... he likes the challenge of learning something new too. After we found the right battery and ordered it we drove through Jacksonville to get to the A1A. Jacksonville seems to be a very working class city and as it was Sunday, the streets were very very quiet.       We drove past the Vehicle Build Centre - a massive building with a HUGE door where the “Crawler” exits with the space craft prior to it being launched. The Control Centre is nearby but the Launch Pad is a safe distance of 5 miles away.

      So, where are we? Ah, yes, Titusville out towards the East Coast of Florida. Ready for a day at Kennedy Space Centre tomorrow before moving on down the coast tomorrow night, we haven't quite decided where that will be yet though. Here's a question for you - how do you leave Florida? As with so much to see and do, even despite the weather we're starting to struggle to see how we'll ever make it to Seattle in five weeks time.       ... preparation we had installed a watermaker to make fresh water from sea water, new plumbing, single side band radio, 880 watts of solar panels, sails repaired and reinforced, lots of safety gear added, had the boat inspected, performed maintenance on everything, etc. etc.
