San Carlos to Mazatlan
... with a water bottle and a squeegee in hand. They wash windshields of cars stopped at traffic lights, hoping for tips. With our California license plates these guys spot us a mile away. Despite the cleanliness of our windshield, our hands waving frantically, and our mouths shouting "NOOOOO", we get one of these wash-and-run jobs on average twice a day. So far we haven't tipped any of washers, and this one is no exception. Traffic light turns to green: drive on...

Another boring Mexican road!!
... The road we were on virtually follows the dangerous coast road all the way up the coast but there are two big differences andthat is that this one costs a fortune to drive on and the other one is free!!! Then there is the other difference and that is that the expensive road is much much safer to drive on. At least there are cameras on the motorway and ones chances of getting hijacked or killed by mafia are much lower.

Cycling days 22-24: La Paz
... everything comes out beautifully. For dinner, we have created shrimp ceviche, tomatillo pasta, and achiote garlic shrimp, served with Rojo Cielo for drinks (beer, clamato, lime, and a dash of pepper in a glass lined with tamarind paste and chili salt on the brim). Yannick finds this coctail so yummy he has 4 glasses -- sans beer for him, of course ;) This is the best dinner we've had on the bicycle trip so far...amazing. Great teamwork! ...
Street food, Coca-Cola, and a pinche jellyfish
... in, jamming out to some Robert Earl Keen, the water rolls up over my ankles and wham!!! WTF was that???. I look down and see some black specks and some slime stuck to my ankle and a jellyfish getting washed out with the wave. I wipe the schmutz off my ankle and figure this is going to hurt for awhile. I didn`t think much of it because I`ve been stung a million times by little ones in Asia that just feel like something between a bee sting and ...
