... destination, punta abrejos. We struggled through the burning sun and departed soon after noon. A 3.5hr drive ended up taking close to 5 hrs as we made a few stops along the way. The country side here in Baja is pretty special, sparse desert with lots of cacti everywhere, I dig it. We were hoping for an arvo wave at abrejos however it was pretty small so we opted for a fish, which ended unsuccessfully. The spot ...

I found a simple hotel room on the main plaza and set out to explore. The waitress phoned us a taxi and it was off to San Diego Zoo. The zoo was really good. The main attractions were the pandas and the polar bears. The only thing that we couldn't see was the tiger (must've been hiding somewhere) and we only saw hippos' backsides! We were so tired by the end of the day, ...

... me, but I had completely forgotten! Anyway, while I wouldn't call myself a hard core NFL fan, it was hard not to get caught up in the excitement of it all. A pretty awesome experience all around, and I'm really glad I went. For the record, the Broncos won, but I now consider myself a Chargers fan, just because we were in San Diego and it didn't feel quite right barracking for the away team. The next day was our free day in San Diego, and one of ...
