... there were firefighters and mechanics on board and some weird burning smell. Apparently a bird had flown into the plane motor and so the bird got fried and the motor stopped working. We ended up changing planes and after a longggg time we arrived in Guadalajara at midnight. There was a lot of more drama with our luggage stuff and then securing our hotel but yeah ...anyway thus ended part 1 of our volaris ...

... week in Cabo San Lucas staying at the Riu Sante Fe Resort (right on the beach!!) then onto Merida for 2 days, Isla Mujeres for 2 days and then rounding the trip off at the party capital of Mexico – 3 days in Cancun! Mid-year trip, here we come!

... bring water, sunscreen and wear hats. Our mission this morning will be to replace Norm's cap which he left in either the dining room or casino on the first night but has not surfaced in either of those spots or in the lost and found. Someone got a nice only twice worn cap. Zut, alors! We'll have to do something about the sun beating down on his scalp. ... the night away. Everything seemed so glamorous and they had poles so that people could dance on them, something quite comical and familiar to the clubs back in England. Although I was surprised to see some exceptional talented women who could pole dance amazingly! After a long night and fun night, we decided to go back to our hotel. 30 minutes away from San Jose del Cabo.

Today we decided to go to Cabo San Lucas, which required us to cross the four-lane highway and catch the Subur Cabos bus. Cost was 27 pesos each one way, which is about $2.50. Bus was in pretty good shape ... like a city bus ... no chickens, just workers and tourists. Roughly half hour ride and we were in Cabo San Lucas. Quite a difference from San Jose - lots of bars, restaurants, vendors. Roger's favourite was the Pink ...
