They gave us a very tasty sample of a sweet tamale, burrito and sides at the Hotel California (made famous by the Eagles song). We are in blue and humpback whale, sea lion, dolphin and sea turtle territory now. We saw a huge sea lion leap on to the back step of a boat, wanting to be fed some fish. They obliged but ...

... restaurant for a cool drink and almost immediately we are being serenaded by stolling musicians -like in Cuba they seem to materialize from nowhere. As much as all this attention can get annoying, it is their source of income, so we try to keep it in perspective. The return to the ship is uneventful. Our ship pulls out at 2PM. After all the heat we are happy to have a quiet afternoon and evening reading & taking in some shipboard activities both before and after dinner. ...
