... his "apartment." The grounds were beautiful but you can tell it's the end of the summer; roses are fading & leaves are falling & the temperatures have dropped a little. We left there around noon to cut across the countryside avoiding Prague to get to Karlstein Castle. It was supposed to take 1 1/2 hours but we had some distractions. From there I wandered about the cute little town. Kutna Hora’s main city is an ugly group of soviet style housing blocks and industrial buildings. But the old town is a very nice wander with little cobble stone (curses!) lanes, shops and eateries. It is less busy than Prague, so there are times you are completely alone in the streets.

... and we played in a fog. Our team was plagued with penalties so thank goodness our goalie kept us in the game. As always Beau tried hard but not much action from him or his line mates. The rink we were at is so warm I sit in the stands in a tank top and shorts comfortably so I imagine he is dehydrated some. They play 2 games tomorrow and so he will kick some butt then.
