I tracked down Aji, a tapas restaurant Laura found in the paper. The Tomate Relleno was mind-blowing and will be making regular appearances on my table at home. Lunch for one was $15 USD, but worth it!

... we not gonna make it. There were moments I HOPED we wouldn't make it. Quietly I tried to calculate how far we were from the omnious Bermuda Triangle. And then, like someone has heard that my buttocks were about to swim back to shore, we entered a lagoon which gave our butt cheeks and backs a break. A break just long enough to get excited about the dive again...

Our first stop was in the port town of Puerto Barrios; we arrived late and having been warned it was a decidedly seedy town, pretty much found our hotel and crashed for the night. Belize it, baby
... it seemed to be the number one activity on the island! I was in major mental prep-mode though... The next day I had plans to snorkel. One of the major attractions on the Caye Caulker reef involves sharks, and I have a life-long fear of the monsters. Seriously, my fear of sharks is so irrational that it makes me afraid of water in general, even lakes. But I'm all about conquering fears and having new experiences...
