From Ian. Trip largely over now just a matter of drying out. As you might have gathered trip from Mahon to Colom on Mallorca was quiet exciting. We were caught in two big thunderstorms both of which hit the local papers. Although missed the 3cm hailstones we did get the 40 litres of rain per square metre in 30 minutes- whatever that means. The sting in the tail of the trip was the second storm as we entered Colom in the dark. Not a trip one wants to repeat too often. ...

Not doing too much today – we're basically waiting for the right winds to take us to Menorca.
Wandered around the town a bit more, provisioning and looking for a laundrette. Strangely enough they have laundry services but no auto mats which is quite annoying to say the least. ...

Washed her down once more and then headed off to our next anchorage. With the sea breeze
with us we got a lovely gentle sail in.

We decided that it was ashame not to visit Palma so after we found out that we could stay another night we headed into the town before it got too hot.
The (old) town turned out to be so much better than we had expected. Really interesting with different styles of architecture and quite buzzing.
We visited the palace and the cathedral. In the afternoon we finished the chores we didn't complete yesterday and then went back into the old town for the ...

... that we could see more of Ibiza. Along the way we passed Ibiza Town and we are very happy that we didn't go there – the anchorage didn't look particularly inviting
and the town itself, well, is just one huge resort with wall to wall apartments.

When we arrived at Formentera the anchorage we wanted to take was now full of mooring
bouys, so we headed to the next beach which was full ...
