    ... crossing the Bridge of Sighs. Our tour focused on the history of the palace and we were taken to areas not generally open to the public including the Doge's private chapel. There were only four of us on the tour so made it easy to follow the guide. After the tour, we visited some of the very ornate public chambers and the prison. It is quite a contrast between the two areas! We had lunch in the cafe which had a nice canal view.

    No cars, no sirens...just the sound of water lapping up to the walls outside of our apartment...that's what we woke up to!     ... a guy from Argentina, This was quite strange and felt different to a normal mixed dorm as, it felt a lot more isolated. When I stated talking to the guy we discovered we had the same thoughts, and he was not happy with the situation as well.
