... leaving Lucen the main road is closed for a new bridge to be fitted and so a rather muddy make shift road was built. Last night this was just mud and was extremely slippery, today however it has all frozen up and is just solid mud so was easy enough to ride along.

Once back on the rough and bumpy pass road my problems started. It was just ice all the way and extremely slippery. Most of it was just heavy frost but as forest trucks use this road much of the frost had been ...

... a few (16?) inhabitants...was previously a thriving community in the 12th century. After, I returned to Venice to continue my "get lost" tour of Venice and all its canals. Stopped for a Spritz then home to my room for 4:30. Local dinner at the pizzeria - last pizza (11.5€). Back to room for pics, emails, reading and generally not sleeping until probably after 2 am. Heard from MC (12:30) with pics of Goli home at ...

Early start and bags packed ready for a a midday trip to the cruise terminal . Had a few hours to kill so walked to the Academia area of Venice- beautiful area to walk and and again plenty of photo opportunities. The major tourist attractions had huge crowds lined up so a few church visits was all we visited this morning. We had decided to take the water taxi to the Cruise terminal and luckily had found a driver who had one of the shiny, timber boats . He dutifully ...
