    Beautiful Murano glass ….. in every shop it

    ... the island. We found out that the beautiful glass products used to be produced on the main island of Venice but as there was a high number of fires caused by the glass-making process the Venetian Republic ordered all of the glass makers to move onto the island of Murano. So if there was a fire it would basically only impact the glass makers ….. nice move. I bet they didn't get a 'danger loading’ either!

    ... find a beach to go to. On the way we came across a coffee cart so Nick could have his daily espresso and asked the guy where the beach was. I was directly across the street, very convenient.

    ... to the bar next to the hotel for
    Karaoke. Steve bought me 1 Euro roses from a man wandering around trying to
    sell them – it was just a bit of fun. . We all had a great time singing along
    to the songs people chose to do and headed back into the hotel around midnight
    as we had a big day in Venice the next day.

    Fact of the day: Venice is sinking 2.5mm every year.

    ... It was very chaotic. Luckily, I got up and asked someone about my train and found it. I was finally on my way at around noon to Venice to meet Sue (my mom's cousin). Once I arrived at the train station outside of Venice, I took a bus to the airport to meet Sue.
