It was with a little bit of sadness we left Queensland and
headed south to Brunswick Heads. I was
feeling sad because in the lead up to our trip the children were referring to “Queensland”
as the holiday so by leaving Queensland I felt like the end of our holiday was

... lights and hill starts for Lou! So we kept on driving past Mermaid Beach and Southport and Paradise Bay looking for a camping site. However, to no avail! We passed several sites but being a Saturday afternoon, the receptions were always shut. 3 hours later we finally found two campsites that were a mere 12 km out of Brisbane city centre. We didn't mean to drive that far! Sara went into her preference and was quoted $61; and Matt ...

      Queens Holiday Weekend

A travel blog entry by evanbelldvm on Jun 08, 2014

... while the waves weren't great, the surfing was fun. Also, by day what was a mellow tie die paradise turned into a giant nightclub. Our hostel was a bit of a party one, and that combined with the long weekend meant it was one hell of a weekend. One night we were a party of a bachelor party, the next with new roomies, and both nights ended with us dancing on tables (and not getting kicked out - hah Lydia) (the clubs dance ...
