... can take 5 to 10 years for them to be taken in by a family and all this time they are taken out into the park with the carers and introduced to families of wild elephants until they are finally accepted.
We watched them all being fed a special formula milk by bottle and they then rolled and splashed around in their mud pool often climbing all over each other. All very cute.
The centre also has 3 black rhinos that they’ve raised, two of which were available ...
... to give it back to her after, but she told him he could keep it.
So once again, last night turned into a chat about how we are going to help out people here. We talked and talked and came up with the idea of sending Kilonzi an awesome care package every 2 months full of stuff he needs to keep LSO going. We decided we should get Margaret’s opinion on the matter. While talking to Margaret last night, she said the best thing we could do is to sponsor a child. This ...
... Nairobi's city centre on Saturdays. We were lucky enough to score a ride there from this Kenyan volunteer named Maryame and her boyfriend. It was actually Maryame's 19th birthday yesterday and she invited us to this rock fest in Karen (a neighbouring community) last night. Too bad our curfew is 6 pm. We had to decline. haha I'm sure it would have been fun though!
Before we hit up the market we popped into the VICDA ...
... The Masai cows are very thin and very hungry during this drought. The Masai survive on only cow blood and milk. With the drought, both are in short supply so they have been receiving fruits and vegatables from Nairobi. We enjoyed our visit and they were very hospitable.
Now we are back at the Stanley Hotel, pool side until our pick up. Our flights out tonight are close to mid-night. We;ll be home soon!!! :)
... have a feeling that I will hear the term, "This is Africa" quite a bit when asked by me why something is. And I wouldn't have it anyother way.
Wait a few weeks into the trip and see if I'll be saying that after sleeping in tents for weeks, taking random cold showers, and hand-washing my clothes. Time will tell.....

... view of the Crossing of the Maasai River!!
Beautiful as the Zebra´s and the Wildebeest both come together and all it needs is only 1 to start the crossing. We waited for over an hour but than we saw something awesome. Thousands of zebra´s & wildebeest cross the river in a cloud of dust and a loud noise of the water. Took some great pictures and was the wait well worth.
As we headed back and after dinner, our bodies ...
... pollution, and crime to the point that even the locals refer to their own city has “Nairobbery”. However, we were both very excited and relieved that we would now be travelling with a tour company for the next two weeks. No more thinking about where to stay, what to eat, where to go…it was all planned out for us. We were even looking forward to seeing our names on those boards upon arriving at the airport as we had requested pick ...
Nairobi, Kenya chadsteph... walked past them, like, I'm not worried, I know you already ate. Unfortunately, we had to be on the road around 9, so we had a short morning, which put me in a state of depression. I wanted to move in with the lions . But it was an experience of a lifetime and I only have one regret, I want a better camera! It just doesn't do the wildlife justice. If anyone ever comes here, I have a guide to recommend to you, he was incredible. So now it's my final week here, and we are ...

Dus wie weet.
Iedereen vraagt of ik ook de ' Kili' ga beklimmen: NEE dus. Die is meer
