    ... br> St Vincentians have a long history of resisting occupation. Hopefully they will be able to continue to charter their own course and create a better future for their children--but not develop to much as to set the stage for a future collapse or ecological destruction.
    Overall, I've felt welcomed here and have met several inspiring people. I truly wish the best for this beautiful country.

    ... and work my way south from there. I won't be able to make it a "single" hike, but I will be able to explore all the parishes on the west side. So off I go. The trip itself is slow going, with the road winding up and down high mountain passes rather than following the coast. Finally I reach my destination: Chateaubelair.     ... dangling flowers, orchids, palms--every kind of jungle plant you could imagine. And the weather here is different.     ... is a French Artist and Doctor and his surgery come art gallery, come studio with his wife cooking in the kitchen and relaxing chairs outside made a strange picture in itself as he welcomed us bare chested and bare foot!! He also had a sense of humour which was good as he inflicted more pain on poor Craig!!
