... the five cannons (and the view) all that is left of Fort Hamilton, the houses of the rich, the beaches, the outside of the turtle hatchery and spectacular views. Kevin is a thorough guide; he tells us that the reason everything seems so expensive (and it does) is that no food is grown on the island. Rather, Bequia is totally dependent on St. Vincent, what he calls 'the Big Island';food and goods are ...

      The Cay to the Caribben

A travel blog entry by skdude on Jun 09, 2014

... is very little rubbish to be found floating or otherwise.

Breakfast, boat boys and park rangers attended to we headed out to explore the depths and beauties of the distant reefs protecting our boat.

      Losing track of time

A travel blog entry by larzonia on Jan 23, 2013

... a truly awesome sail! After helping get us underway, I spent over an hour laying out in the sun as the waves splashed to cool down. The boat was cruising at about 8 kts too so a healthy breeze rounded out an awesome experience. We finally make it to Canoun for a provisioning stop, that turned into a stop for the night. With no schedule or agenda really, there wasn't much point in pushing on another hour at a late time. Why not ...
