      ... in 45 minutes of riding. We rode through trees, and miles of orchards with huge apples ripe and ready for harvest. They must be honest souls around these parts because the crop was right up to the edge of the road and not a fence in sight.       ... that it would improve was soon dissipated, but we pushed on for another two miles. Pushing would be a poor term to use. We were actually teaming up to lift and carry our bikes over logs that seemed to get increasingly larger. We weren't able to ride our bikes for even a ten foot section.
