I've started to wake up early again. Today it was six when I first woke up and I forced myself back into a half-slumber until eight when I decided to go upstairs and get some breakfast. A couple of the girls were up when I went up there and I helped Ailsa for a bit with her CV. I still need to do some more work with her on it, but I'm just hoping I can give her a helping hand. Nothing much happened this morning. I surfed the web with every intention of doing ...

    Week on the Gold Coast
This was my forth time staying on the Gold Coast, but the first time that I've stayed this far south. Usually I've stayed right up in the heart of Surf's, where it is very hectic and its rush rush rush. Down at Rainbow Bay, it was more relaxed and it just felt like a beach holiday.

The surf may not have been as big or as consistent, but is was good to be able to just kick back and relax in a relaxed atmosphere.

No drinks and early to bed tonight, as we have to start very early tomorrow to drive up to Brissie, return the car and wait for hours in the Jetstar check-in queues. ...

... over for the evening and Sam got back from a trip out to see friends, announcing that his car had been searched by the police; being asked to pull over at random by the police is very common here and most drivers here have been breathalyzed and/or drug tested several times.

Between games, we made a few calls back to the UK, where Christmas lunches were still being prepared. We have had a fantastic summer Birthday/Christmas here and have been looked after wonderfully by the ...

... activities to do all over Australia and as well as the free camp sites! We were sold and bought one that was half off.
The next day we got up super early and headed to Coff's harbour. On the way we stopped at captain Cook's lookout and Smokey Cape light house. The views were spectacular and the walk up was killer. We headed back towards Coff's harbour and stopped to see the Big Banana, which is just a huge activity centre with lots to dose ...
