... planned to rush in and confuse the official. So Bal handed the tickets to security and rushed through into the stadium, by the time security had counted the tickets and the remaining people, he counted 4 and 4 – Bueno!! Although Adam was panicking as he found himself at the back of the group and was worried he’d be the one thrown out and not me.
Manu Chao was interesting and a bit repetitive but it was a great concert and thankfully the rain that had ...
... that his budget was much more than mine, as he intended to do all of the expensive excursions and trekking activities, while spending an entire year abroad.
After I became a bit more settled, Vito and I headed out into the city center in search for a grocery store that was just a block away from the Obelisco, a similar structure to the Washington Monument in DC, but on a much smaller scale. On the way, I had a nice introduction to the ...
... Casa Rosa, the seat of the national government. We were going there to take the English tour which we had to book, unfortunately when we arrived we were told that there were no more tours of the building, even though this months tourist guide told us there were. In the end we could only get pictures of the outside, which included the balcony where Evita gave her famous speeches. After this we went for lunch and then after went to the museum of the Cabilado. This building is ...
Tigre, Buenos Aires, Argentina mikeandmary... hundreds of pesos to see a tango show. It was in what felt like basically a big function room, and there were hundreds of local people there! There was a band, a singer, a bar and lots of people dancing extremely well on the dance floor! we were amazed! We sat and watched, admiring their good moves whilst we drank wine. But, you know what wine does to you - sends you crazy! and after a while Kath & Wazza got up for a dance, and then Luke and I were ...

Buenos Aires, Argentina trishsteph... wine store) and the hotel kitchen on a couple of nights. Other than splendid dinners with Mary, this also gave us the opportunity for many conversations about our future: living together, trying to get some concrete game plans/ideas on our livelihood the next several years, and our thoughts on having and raising children. It is quite amazing how quickly one grows up. I was not at all scared, but excited by these ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina chiapoe... Recoleta perhaps?) The Recoleta cemetery was well worth the visit as it contained the tombstone of the famous Eva Peron, though lots of tours and tourists were there - you had to queue to see it! The cemetery itself is grand - you literally have streets worth of elaborate and beautifully decorated tombs (all underground) with cats acting as their 24-hour guardians! That brings Buenos Aires to an end - we fly to Ushuaia tomorrow; the end of the world as we know it!
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina atullgupta... one was a girl from Holland--who spoke my level of Spanish-- who was here 'Couch surfing' for 7 weeks. Crazy!
