Had to leave the Amazing island of Gilli T today, very sad. No doubt we will be back some time in the future as we have fallen in love with the island! Headed to Ubud, the cultural artsy part of Bali, explored a little bit of the Vast markets today! Busy busy busy!! Getting a tad bored with the limited food options though, have ...

... unfortunately the prices are just too expensive for us and were determined to find cheaper versions in Ubud market. We didn't really like today's driver either because like yesterday, he was trying to scam us by pretending that the entry tickets were more expensive to cover his parking costs! It seems everyone's in it for the money in Indonesia and money always comes first no matter how and what it takes. Big shame really because it makes us feel like we can't trust anyone ...

    UBUD ☺

A travel blog entry by harwoodjones on Apr 28, 2014

... There are some really quaint parts of Ubud. It's really difficult to explain exactly what Ubud is like because it’s not like your conveniently Asian city like Bangkok or Hanoi. An average street is a combination of warungs, homestays, shops, spas and then beautiful shrines and small temples.

In the afternoon I was once again ...
