... we arrived at the Boardwalk Bar which is part of the Bali Gardens Beach Resort- very nice. We got ourselves two very comfortable armchairs under a large shady tree looking right out onto the beach. It felt like paradise – especially when two icy cold Bintangs were delivered! Sheraton Resort isn't that far from the airport. It took us about 45 mins to reach Sheraton. Sheraton is right next to Hard Rock Hotel, and there are plenty of shopping around the area. It is right in the middle of Kuta area. Beneath the hotel is a shopping mall. We checked into our hotel and left our luggages there before heading out to explore Kuta area abit. Kuta is famous for its beach and a mega shopping area. The amount of tourists ...

... to it. We finally got to the beach and it was so beautiful. The waves were huge and there were lots of people surfing. We walked down to feel the water and had countless people approach us offering anything from surfing lessons to tattoos to bracelets to massages. My friend and I decided to buy chairs to lay in and we got them for the equivalent of $2.50 each. One Indonesian Rupiah is equal to $0.00010, so everything seems really expensive but it is actually extremely cheap. ...
