Bali: our little holiday within a holiday
Due to the close proximity and cheap airfares, we have popped to Bali for a nine day holiday. This time has been filled with many laughs, adventures and fun times. Some of our highlights include:

Yes is it being delivered, you said you do home deliveries. So she hands me to someone else and I go through the story again. She hands me to someone else and ditto.
My beef Rendag where is it? "Oh you want beef Rendang?" Yes I do. "OK sir we will make some for you".
So 7.15 I got my Rendang and it was worth the wait. It's impossible to get angry with Balinese.

I ended up passing out on the boat ride home which was a a nice smooth ride, then got the mini van back to Kuta and met Made at his restaurant and he took me home. My foot had gotten worse by this time so he nursed me a little bit and I lied down and elevated my foot for the rest of the day. ...
... we saw Le Long Balinese Story of Love. A show of traditional Balinese dance/theatre. It was incredible, colourful costumes, outlandish makeup scary masks, and very very loud music (think of several small men bashing hub caps with small hammers) even though we never really understood the story the show it was still amazing! The next day we set out with hope that it would be a good day, it ended up taking us 4 or so hours of almost continuous walking to get from one side ...
After last night's late night it was a little challenge to get up at 5.30 this morning however, it was slightly easier than getting up in Europe at this time of year as it is actually light! Ketut had arranged a car to take us to Padang Bai where we would be able to get a ferry/speed boat (we were planning to take the ferry) to Nusa Lembongan where we were planning to meet the other volunteers from the other two programs.
