    ... changed, load up the jeep and off to Larnaca airport. Crossed via Beyarmudu crossing point and thro Pile village to the airport. Said our goodbyes to Kayleigh and headed home this time via Lefkosia and the Metehan crossing point. We are getting to know this journey well. Back home to get a message from Kays that her flight had been delayed an hour...she wont be happy. Suggested she got a glass of wine and it would help her sleep on the flight.     ... 5 mins! Wind and thunder continued for a while but the sun was shining all the time, decided to sit indoors reading and watching BBC iplayer. Had an email late afternoon from our pet insurers to confirm settlement of claim for Shebas operation and treatment, which was pretty quick as we have in the past had some poor experiences when claiming. Supper was sweet and sour stir fry followed by yet more ice cream. DVD watched and time for bed. Visitors arrive tomorrow which we are looking forward ...

    Wednesday 6th May - No run for us this morning, Sarah was sneezing a lot yesterday and both of us have bunged up noses, seems we have caught a head cold whilst back home or maybe via the dreaded air con on the flight home. Great. After a couple of cups of tea we felt more normal and were up showered and planning the day.     ... to the state hospital in town for blood tests. Bedlam on arrival at the hospital....which seems to be because the local people use this like a GP surgery so as you can imagine it was busy. Wandered around for a while before locating the right desk and joined a short queue. Lady took all our paperwork, checked, stamped and recorded.......passed paperwork to lady sat next to her....who was in the next booth. Join queue in next booth! But at least it was ...

    ... looking forward to getting back home. We can then prepare ourselves for our next trek where it will be considerably cooler. The hotel is still very busy with Dutch and German guests and their little kinders - Grrrr - the large main pool is full of the little darlings with their various blow up water thingies while the much smaller children's pool is taken up with 6foot plus young man and girlfriend on their blow up thingies! ...
