... got pretty messy. Headed into the bay to drop anchor and dodged around quite a few others doing the same! Seriphos is tiny with a great beach and an ancient chora (old town) 5 miles up with its tiny ancient passageways, quaint white houses and laid back people.

A great day on Sifnos
We spent the day here relaxing on the beach. The water was the perfect temperature for swimming. The boys spent their day diving off the dock, swimming, snorkeling and fishing. Exploring Milos
... and flowers everywhere. Very pretty. We found the site where the statue was supposedly found, just a bit of scrubby grass area, the remains of an ancient Roman Amphitheatre and Catacombs. The largest catacombs found outside of Rome and evidence of early christianity in the Aegean.

Arriving at Milos
... a small car for EU 35 per day. The fuel cost more than one day hire. Fuel on the islands is very expensive. We really only had the next morning before having to catch our ferry back to the mainland (for Rach to catch her flight back to London...boo!!!), so we spent the morning seeing the Catacomes, the spot where the Venus de Milo was found, and an adorable little fishing village, Klima (see pic). Then it was back to the port of Piraeus (outside of Athens), before the strike started the next day...
