... Seminyak because all we did was wander along the streets a bit, walk down to the very ordinary beach (just the public one, not the groomed one in front of one of the bars and five star hotels), ate, drank and lazed around the villa. The restaurants that we ate in were universally good. The staff warm, welcoming and professional. How could people not like Bali?

... lie in in the morning! Next day we didn't get up until 10:30! We just had a lazy day, taking our time over breakfast looking out to sea. We went and got our beach stuff after breakfast and finally took the gopro in the water! The water is so shallow that we were able to walk far out with the water only up to our waists. We had a stroll along the road then to look at boat prices and get some lunch. After ...

... without stopping. I went straight to Ubud and straight to bed in our nice simple bungalow which was well off the beaten path. Steph arrived late that night and we started the Steph/Lynsey adventure. It was so nice to have a companion again. Plus Steph is a teacher - so she would call it geeking out, but I would call it informative as she shared much of what she knows about eastern culture, religion, customs. Ubud has a great vibe ...
