Not only was it amazing to watch the incredible moped traffic streaming through the streets at night but during the day we were amazed to see that people were just sitting the in same spot for the entire day. These guys certainly take the word "Holiday" seriously. We would see someone when we went for breakfast and come past later for dinner and that person would be in the exact spot they were in several hours ago. ...

By the time we got to Changi airport we were delirious and were calling it "Shiny Airport" as that's what it sounded like the Asian air hostesses was calling it. Super funny with no sleep.

We meandered through the darkness for another 7 hours, changing buses twice and at one point boarding a ferry only to go halfway across the Mekong river, then go back to the exact same place and drive away. I'm still bemused by why that happened. Through it all, we dealt with being insulted, climbed on and shouted at (by the driver, who didn't let his limited grasp of English stop him shouting "GO!" whenever we moved at all). ...
