      Nothing is perfect

A travel blog entry by jchende on Feb 07, 2015

Spent the day with the realtor in Venice. We now know this drive of an hour down and an hour back, by heart. Saw 6 properties, 3 of which would be great EXCEPT... The little gray house in our realtor's neighborhood. Beautifully redone inside, could be bought with the furniture, has a pool, you can walk/bike to the beach BUT the price is close to $300,000 and the neighborhood is very mixed. Some properties are a little run down, while others have had some updating and it ...

... off to find a Michael's for some supplies to craft with all these shells. So far I've covered a wooden letter C with shells, made a picture frame for all 4 kids and built a tree with shells. And there are still plenty of shells left. We have signed up to rent a little house here for next January. 3 br 2 bath with a pool and fenced in yard. I am surprised that Paul is willing to come back but I think he knows he now has some tennis friends, the ...

Absolutely nothing has become clear about the future, other than I would be happy to be gone from Ohio during Jan and Feb. Some days it seems renting is the perfect answer. Other times it sounds wonderful to have our own place. There are several places we considered buying very seriously, but never felt sure it was the ...

... Not only do we hang around the only low crowded beach but we go to the Village, where many bars, souvenir and other common stores are located. There you can go shopping for some memories and gifts for friends at home and afterwards have a drink or two. When we go shopping, we go to all the stores not existing in Germany, these are TJ Maxx (yes there's the german TK Maxx but it's nothing like TJ!), Ross and Marshall's for cheap but cool clothes, bags and decorations stuff. ...

      Sarasota and Siesta Key

Had a lay in today but decided to take a ride down to Siesta Key, Sarasota as we have never been down there. Took the scenic route down the US-41, in hindsight we should have took the interstate as we didn't leave until 11am which meant we didn't get to Anna-Marie beach until 1pm then it was a long slow ride along the coast to Siesta Key village. As it was such a long hot ride we decided to get ...
