      Dog culture

... park, but it is extremely rude to forget the dog's name. 2. If your dog poops in the park, every other person in the park is aware of who's dog that was and whether or not you cleaned it up. They will become quite vocal if you don't appear to be taking care of business. 3. Every other dog in the park is well mannered, doesn't bark or bite, except yours. 4. Getting a routine

A travel blog entry by jchende on Jan 07, 2015

All have been here in the past. I am working on remembering the names of people and their dogs. It is a great place to get information on all kinds of things about the island. Had a lay in today but decided to take a ride down to Siesta Key, Sarasota as we have never been down there. Took the scenic route down the US-41, in hindsight we should have took the interstate as we didn't leave until 11am which meant we didn't get to Anna-Marie beach until 1pm then it was a long slow ride along the coast to Siesta Key village. As it was such a long hot ride we decided to get ...

... up in Sarasota, we came back to White Ave, produced all our green stuff and off we set to watch the St. Patrick's Day parade on Anna Maria --yes, the St. Patrick's Day parade. As we walked down the main street toward the starting point of the parade we were amazed by the outfits and the enthusiasm. People lined the parade route in their Irish get ups and sometimes people were lined up two to three deep. The parade itself had a pipe band, a marching band, ...
