This weekend the last flying Vulcan has done a two day goodbye flight all over Britain as its flying licence expires at the end of this month and won't be renewed ( it costs £18,000 per hour to fly, and they have to bring people out of retirement to do the maintenance). We went over to waddington to see it as it would do a circuit as it used to be the vulcan's base. There is also a static Vulcan on the ground by the runway; in fact the one that did the ...

The pump house is right at the end of the runway at RAF connigsby, the home of the Battle of Britain flight, and squadrons of tornados and eurofighter typhoons, as well as being the base where Andy flies from while waddington runway is relaid. This afternoon we were treated to a hurricane and a typhoon playing in the clear skies. Great ...

Then a trip to the only eight-sail windmill in the country and on to the bubble car ...

We are back in our cottage in Martin for three weeks. Finlay has grown SO much. It feels like he's twice the length that he was! The weather has been gorgeous; very sunny and hot in the middle of the day, pretty chilly at night and this morning was foggy, but beautiful in the sun. We went to an organ concert in Lincoln today, and then had lunch outside at a tapas bar, which was excellent, probably ...

... haven't sent me anything that vaguely resembles boarding information, or ticket information. Upon a bit of digging around, I've got my e-ticket that just needs to be printed now.

I'm later going to attempt to pack with mum, the bulky stuff at least, and have a general look over what gaps there might be in stuff! Before I started on the practicalities of ...
