... try and escape the rain. It was very squished. We walked through the rain, shoeless, to find somewhere for dinner and settled on a pub which sold cheesy chips. How British. Afterwards we again trudged through the rain shoeless, and got a pancake for pudding. Mine was not as good as the pancake man from the beach at Chewang. We explored the shops for a while, but nobody brought anything. We then went back to our shack and struggled through a very uncomfortable nights ...

There is a DVD player in the apartment which I noticed had a USB port where I could plug in my external hard drive, which contains my CDs and DVDs, currently connected to the laptop. We hired a bike for the day and went off to explore Samui. It was stunning!! We saw a buffalo next to the road eating and went over to speak to the couple with it. The lady told us it was used for fighting. She told us that there's big money in buffalo fighting and often Thai families would put their money together to buy, train and enter their buffalos into competitions- it can cost a million baht! Only winning the fight produces a decent return. It's not like bull fights ...

Whooooo it's my birthday! This morning started with Matty waking me up to give me presses and cards. He was more excited than I was.... I've not been feeling well for about 2 weeks now off and on but this morning I felt horrendous. Anyway I opened my pressies from Matty, he kept aologising that they were rubbish pressies but 1. We are in Thailand so I didn't expect any pressies, 2 he's been with me all the time so couldn't really go and get stuff, 3 he couldn't really hide anything from ...
