Tierra del Fuego - the final chapter
Day 292 (1/4/12): 28km
After spending a few hours in Punta Arenas, we leave at 2pm to ride to the ferry terminal, allowing us more than enough time to cover the 5km distance. Well, that is unless we get a flat tire! Halfway there, Shirley's rear goes flat and without much time to find the hole and patch it up, we just check the tire for any sharp objects, switch out the tube for a new one, and go. By the time we reach the dock, her tire is leaking again, but ...

C'est donc sous la pluie et sans aucun plan de ...
The End of the World....Then up to Buenos Aires!
After saying goodbye to Chile for a second time we headed into the Argentinian side of Patagonia. Our first stop was about 4 hours from the border in a town called El Calafate. We were very excited about this stop as it was where we would be able to do something that was one of the main reasons for coming to South America - to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. This glacier is the worlds largest advancing glacier, it advances by 2 to 3 metres everyday. As we were still ...
