Road turn
.... So you can imagine my amazement having read from JB's 1863 account : "One point in the road was so abrupt that it was twisted, so to speak, in a knot; that is, we drove under an archway, turned sharply round to the left, and came back over the top of it - or, in other words, we traversed one turn of a screw to attain to the required level."
