08 - Whales ahoy!
One of several shots of a pod of Humpback whales that followed the MS Explorer into Neko Harbour. The whales are curious and from time to time like to rub the sides of the ship's hull. This actually happened, but like all my shots, I managed to capture only the fins or tails of the whales as they circled around the ship. One of our group caught a full breah (the whale comes striaght up from the water and falls back into the sea, exposing most of its body) on film. I am hoping to get a copy sent to me, which I will post.
