Indigenous peoples made floating islands out of reeds hundreds of years ago in order to escape various aggressors. To this day, they still live on these islands, with a few changes in lifestyle...now they have solar powered huts (due to the dangers associated with having candles on an island where everything is made of dried reeds). Also, a bunch of tourists walk on the island every day now.
