The Sphinx: Lion's body with a god's face and royal headdress. Date of carving unknown.
Remember my father telling me how he saw pictures of the Sphinx covered in sand up to its chin. How it fascinated him and his hopes to someday see it. He and Mom did a fair amount of traveling but never Eeast of Greece. However they did visit Rio de Janerio one of the worlds great wonders.
