We went along to see Mom and her friends from Hillside go bowling, which they do every Wednesday in the summer months. She dearly loves this game (she never bowled before last year!), and prides herself on her scores in the high 80's and 90's - and when Greg and I decided to attempt a game, Mom gleefully pointed out that, unlike us, SHE had NEVER had a gutter ball. She had failed to notice that they have bumpers in their lanes, which prevent gutter balls from occurring!!
