In the middle are little pastries stuffed with feta and spinach - kind of half phyllo pocket, and half samosa. Most items were served with what appeared to be sweet Thai chili sauce on the side. You wouldn't think it would go with Turkish food ... but it was delicious - especially tasty when accompanied by the lovely flavour of my bloody, bitten cheek!
I chomped down so hard on it that there was a little piece of dangly flesh on the inside (later on, I actually thought it was little remnant of food, and not my own flesh!). I made a guttural scream, B&H gave me a weird look, I said "Gahhh!!!! That hurts like a b*tch!!!" then shut up and continued to stuff my face. It hurt like hell, but I was too hungry to care, and the food was simply too good.
Surrounding the phyllo pockets are a number of salads - tabbouleh, legumes with yogurt, something that was half-salsa half-tabbouleh, a tomato/nut mixture (lots of pine nuts - good!).
