01 - Maharaja's Palace
We stayed at the maharaja's palace in Karauli. After independence, all the maharajas in India lost their official status and now many have resorted to running hotels out of their palaces to supplement their income. The maharaja still lives in a section of the palace. He occasionally comes out to have dinner with the guests but wasn't available during our stay.
