07 Cicadas
DESCRIPTION: Big noisy bugs which are easier to find when they start to die. They die after they mate and lay their eggs. What a life.
LOCATION: On a tree near our apartment, but you can hear these things EVERYWHERE. It was deafening to stand this close
SIZE: ~2.5 in I'd hate to hit one of these while riding a motorcycle.
STATUS: totally harmless, the kids in the park love to pick them off the trees and have them crawl on them. I still haven't built up the nerve.
