Galle is nice... Nice colonial architecture and buildings. And it's located right on the ocean. However, 3 weeks before we arrived, it was bombed and the town had zero tourists. It was eerie walking around the once packed quaint streets. The cool thing was that we were able to negotiate insane deals on rooms. Mom - aren't you proud?!?! We stayed at places that normally cost $35 / night (luxury hotels) for under $10.
