07 Drepung Monastery - Tibet, China

This monk was taking a rest from Chaktsal. Chaktsal (Prostration) is placing your hands in a prayer like position, touch your forehead, throat and heart, get down into a half-prostration and lie full on the ground with hands streached out Notice the small marker by his knee? He used this to mark where his hands were when he was on the ground. His feet start at this spot for his next prostration. He slowly circles the monastery doing this.
