Old Ruins at Canterbury Cathedral - Canterbury, United Kingdom

Now, my English history is appalling, but goes the history goes something like this. The church was first built in the 1000's until William the Conquerer burnt it down, the ruins of which are in this photo. It then got rebuilt and someone else burnt it down again. The Cathedral standing is the third version of it (I think). Then some religious guy called Thomas Beckkett got murdered in the church by Henry eigth and pilgrims have been flocking to it ever since.
