Gong1 - Bogor, Indonesia

Gong1, Bogor, Indonesia
The best stop in bogor was at a gong factory. i say factory, but it is really just one little room packed with men hammering away at molten tin, or was it bronze? either way it goes like clock work. one guy manages the fire while another shuffles the metal in and out of the hot coals. three others hammer away in the most rythmic of fashions. it was so cool to see. they then polish and tune them out back. quite the operatoin. i took a sound clip of the hammering so i will try to upload that next.
