Upsala Glacier, Lago Argentino, Quito, Ecuador

The Upsala Glacier can be see floating out onto Lago Argentino in the lower part of the picture and Lago Guillermo in the upper part. The sharp break in the ice attests to its rapid retreat. It has retreated more than 2 km since I first visited it in 1989.
