The Western Wall was one of the most intense visits on my trip so far. Standing in the presence of such a gigantic structure and historical and religious icon really took my breathe away. I felt more connected to God here than in any other moment in my life. The Temple Mount is located just 40 yards beyond this wall.......The Muslims built their Dome of the Rock on top of the holiest Jewish site (the Temple Mount) and now Jews are only able to visit the Western Wall, which is really only the perimiter of the 2nd Jewish Temple of the first Century CE.
