04 Crossing to Timbuktu
Crossing the river Niger, we had one of those all too frequent moments where the oversized truck scraped and squeezed itself into places it really didn't belong! Just a couple of things, yes, we are sharing the 'ferry' with camels, yes that is a red cross painted on the roof by John just so people know we're 'friendly' when we cross the dodgier parts later and yes that is a pelican painted on the back, John likes a bit of a doodle to decorate the truck during moments of boredom!
