I met Sergio on surf trip in Baja California years ago. He has done a fair bit of traveling, so I bugged him for a few moments to find out some more about Sergio.
Where are you from?
I'm from Argentina/US. I moved to the US at the tender age of 12. I've lived in cali up until a year ago and now I live in Oahu, Hawaii.
What has been your favorite destination?
My favorite travel destination has to be san quintin baja. All the surf and oyster you could ever want.
What is one of your favorite travel moments?
Sharing one of the biggest waves of my trip with kalvin. He was on the bottom of the crest, I was on top. He likes it when I'm "on top"
What is the most interesting thing you learned on the road?
Learning to wipe with no toilet paper in Indonesia. Once I got the hang of it and I still do it till this day.
What is the funniest travel moment?
Watching and taking pictures my mate helplessly taking a diarrhea dump on the side of my truck.
What is the strangest thing you have seen on the road?
A bimbo bread truck that rammed up a pile of gravel. The driver fell asleep on a desolate road and just nailed it. We pulled up and had to help bimbo get out of the gravel.
Travel Tip
Packing only take about 10% of the clothes you think you might use. There's nothing worse than over-packing.
Why did you travel?
To experience new cultures and of course, if there's time, find some surf.
