01 Maypole at the Viktualien Markt
In the middle of Munich, on some of the city's most expensive real estate, sits the Viktualien Markt, a reminder of the days when the city was dependent upon farmers' bringing their produce to town. The Maypole has representations of the trades practiced in town - and the breweries that sell their beer at the market.
