Foliage and flower - of the Jacaranda tree
This is everywhere in BA and is continuously flowering all year round with effusive displays in spring. On Avenida 9 de Julio (lined with these trees), spring carries such a load of infinite purple/violet pushed against a broad blue sky that it composes as if on canvas one of the city's most breathtaking, colorful vistas. (Or so the guide books told us). We got to see the lingering summer aftermath and we can believe.
