This is the site that greets you when you exit the train station. Cologne's German name is Köln. This cathedral has the largest facade of any church in the world - over 7000 sq meters! It took a mere 632 years to build.

From this point of view the train station is behind the cathedral. Visible is the Roncalliplatz with the Romano-Germanic Museum (Römisch-Germanisches Museum) on the right side. The two steeples which are not visible are on the left.

that's not the view you get when you walk out of the train station-you see the dual twin towers.
