01 Cathedral and Tower

All eyes are obviously drawn to the Leaning Tower, but it is just one of three gorgeous buildings in Pisa's Campo dei Miracoli (Field of Miracles)... the others being the cathedral (seen here) and a circular baptistry. Set amongst immaculately walled lawns, Pisans claim the setting is among the most beautiful in the world. It is a gorgeous setting (especially when it's a nice clear day), but a small one, which makes the tat-waving hawkers and tour groups all that more noticeable. But let's not sound like we're complaining..... we realise, above anything else, how lucky we are to be here. Campo dei Miracoli, Pisa, Italy. August 31st 2007
