08 The Zhuang
A Zhuang lady in Ping An village. They all wear dark blue embroidered trousers, black embroidered skirts and white or red tops. The ladies, like this one, with the extraordinary long black hair (mostly the older ones) wear headscarf's or bands which they use to tie up their hair. The basket seemed to be used for carting produce, mainly chillies, around the steep lanes of the village. Ping An Zhuang minority village, Longji Mountains, Guangxi province, China.
