On the afternoon of our first day there was a partial solar eclipse. We gathered on the roof terrace of our hotel to attempt to watch it. Here there are no special glasses on sale or health warnings. We sneaked peeks at the glowing ball through gaps in our fingers. However, nothing seemed to be happening so we gave up and went back to our rooms. Luckily, someone looked out of the window a while later and spotted this.
